First Skal Europe Day in Rome

On November 16th the first Skal Europe Day will be held in Rome, an annual event that will welcome European members of the prestigious Skal International Club.

The first Skal Europe Day will be held in Rome on November 16th, at the Rome Life Hotel in Via Torino. During the day the “Skal Europe Conference” will take place, a forum where data will be examined and topics of economic interest for the world of tourism will be discussed. This year’s conference will focus on digital accessibility, the concentration of tourist flows and European tourism trends.

The Skal Europe Day event will always be held on November 16th, each time in a different European city home to a Skal International club.

Antonio Percario, President of Skal International Rome which hosts and inaugurates the event, says: “We are honoured to welcome the first Skal Europe Day in Rome. The event is included in the program of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Skal Club of Rome. The congress will be a great opportunity and will strengthen relations between all European members of the Skal International Club.

Armando Ballarin, President of Skal International Italia states: “The Skal Europe Day will be a meeting place for the 32 professional categories that make up the Tourism Industry; prizes will be awarded to clubs that stand out for their activity in the tourist segments related to art, history, culture, accessibility, sustainability, and sport.

Florin Tancu, President of Skal Bucharest, headquarters and secretariat for the year 2019/2020 of the Skal Europe Network, says “Skal Europe Day is a great opportunity to strengthen the European Skal Club network, never experienced before. A way to grow and let grow, giving space to new members in an association that works to build an ethical and responsible tourism model while respecting the fundamental diversities and values.

Skal International is a non-profit organization that brings together 15,000 members in over 80 countries, belonging to the 32 professional categories that make up the Tourism Industry and is a permanent member of the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization).

Skal Europe Network is the network of European clubs, conceived in Rome in 2017 during the twinning with the Berlin club, formalized the following year in Paris and launched in Berlin, during the ITB fair, in March of this year.
